Majid Al Futtaim Opens First LEGO® Certified Store in Kuwait

Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, has opened its first LEGO® Certified Store in Kuwait, as it continues to build on the success of the recent UAE store openings and expand its portfolio across the Middle East.
The flagship Kuwait store is located in the heart of the popular The Avenues Mall and is the largest LEGO retailer in the Middle East. Covering 336 square metres, the family favourite outlet stocks the most extensive LEGO product range available in the region. Since the store opened its doors on 26th December 2015 it has been hugely popular with shoppers, which strengthens Majid Al Futtaim’s decision to open a second store in the country, within the 360 Mall, later this year.

The successful partnership between Majid Al Futtaim and the LEGO Group began in 2014, with the first LEGO Certified Store opening in the Middle East at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi. 2015 saw the opening of three additional stores in Dubai at The Dubai Mall, the Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif.

Event : Marks & Spencer introduces Spring’15 Collection

 

A few weeks ago got a chance to attend Mark & Spencer Spring’15 Collection showcasing event where they were celebrating the first glorious days of the spring season, Marks & Spencer previewed it’s vibrant and flattering Spring 2015 collection at an in-store fashion event attended by the region’s stylish including blooming bloggers at The View, Salmiya. The new womenswear and menswear collection presented at the event reinterprets the international runway trends into stylish wearable ensembles for both work and play, available in impeccable quality at great prices.

It Says ,”Luxurious in its simplicity, the womenswear collection is a celebration of the sleek and elegant. Contemporary shapes, effortless styling and clean lines are punctuated by desirable prints like oriental florals, abstract graphics, flirty polka-dots and nautical stripes. Colour is given a seasonal overhaul as the redefined neutrals- warm tans, textured blues and a spectrum of pinks creates the tone of the landscape.”

Below are the trends that define the mood of this edited flattering collection:

70’S SUMMER OF LOVE:  Hippy style goes haute this season with free-spirited prints and relaxed tailoring for a light-touch take on 1970s style. Relaxed vibe is evident with crochet details, floral prints and wide-legged jeans, simply embodying the spirit of the era.

MODERN ROMANCE: A romantic narrative veers from the dramatic to the flirtatious; as heavy lace meets peek-a-boo sheers, in a vivid feminine collision. Pastel pinks, white and red are featured in its standout pieces including the elegant fashion-forward pink limited edition skirt.

INTO THE BLUE:  Denim emerges as a trend in its own right, creating a new depth to the casual and updating the tailored.  Look out for fresh ideas, from cool jumpsuits to denim dresses – it’s time to embrace the blues.

 

ORIENT: An eastern sensibility informs this modern silhouette, as ornamental prints and sculptured separates are elegantly constructed for an exotic appeal.

 

STRIPES: The classic print gets a cheery makeover in refreshingly vibrant hues.  There’s nothing uniform about them either, as the modern effect is created with variable depth and width.

 

 

 

The menswear collection is a contemporary combination of formal and casual pieces styled together to create a relaxed, understated look for the season. Casualwear smartens up with modern interpretations on classic pieces, with the focus on clean lines, fine summer fabrics and masculine iconic styles, worn in a new tonal colour palette.

 

Key menswear items have been updated, with lighter summer weight deconstructed formal jackets and classic macs with design details such as an asymmetric fastening. Clean, simple t-shirts and light weight bombers are styled with coloured footwear to create this new look for the season. Blue is the key colour reference for spring’15 in both formalwear and casualwear, ranging from intense navy and midnight blues to paler denim and chambray tones. Denim jeans are available in improved fits, a full range of denim washes, new finishes and worn techniques, working with the most casual day looks as well as more formal outfits.This new season embrace the effortless sophistication and defining quality with Marks & Spencer.

Personally I loved the collection and the idea of fashion show( if you want to see the M&S fashion show clips check them on my Intagram account @Q8mangopeople) It was bright ,bold and very modern….clean cuts, every piece was impressive…I prefer the MS store at View is just so so vast & spacious, if you were be looking for any of the pieces do visit there.

 

The collection is now available in Marks & Spencer Kuwait stores at The View Salmiya, The Avenues Mall and 360 Mall.

Store Review : SEPHORA at Gatemall

 Hi Beauties, This weekend visited the GateMall and how couldn’t not go to Sephora ;)…so thought why not give you a tour of the store and show some amazing finds I found instore.I am personally really very impressed with their own Sephora makeup …its so amazing, the quality, well pigmented and is at a affordable price….some of them are just my faves, use them everyday. The Sephora at Gate mall is nice,well arranged and the staff is super friendly…the beauty consultant was so nice to give me a tour around the store. Fell in love with the fall colors in Outrageous Rouge Extreme liquid lipstick which has a semi matte to glossy finish , very comfortable on lips, very very long lasting and so pigmented.Once set doesn’t move for hours like the Sephora Rouge Lip creams. Long lasting lipsticks are the new lipstick revolution, but taking them off is a real pain, looks so good but can leave you lips dry and cracky if not removed properly! For that they had an Ultimate Oil in gel lipstick remover for it which was good to take off these lip stains, just massage it on the lipstick, it dissolves and get off in a sec….loved it…if you are looking that takes of the long lasting lipstick without drying the lips than this is for you.

Tried the new Sephora Kiss Me Balm too, they are so cute lightly tints your lips and moisturizes them.Also tried the Sephora Color Adapt Lip Balm which is quite similar to the Dior Addict Lip glow. Awesome makeup removers for face and eyes, which also now come in wipes also and available in travel friendly packaging too.     Got introduced to their skincare range too which have many natural ingredients like Green tea , ginseng & also had mineral oils. A full range for skincare with serums , day & night treatments. They also have now body scrubs , masks, energizing face mists and also multi use depuffing eye mask. Saw this Sephora Metamorphosis exfoliating powder which I found interesting,which says “This powder scrub provides double-action exfoliation—through a gentle chemical peel and micro cellulose powder—to smooth and soften skin texture instantly and make the complexion radiant. It may be used once a week alone or mixed with a daily cleanser, and is gentle enough for all skin types, even sensitive skin. …..free from Parabeens”

Looking forward for trying the Pore & Fine line filler which says,’ For a flawless, even complexion with a “no make-up” finish, this incredible primer optically corrects minor skin imperfections, smoothes the skin’s texture and instantly fills in fine lines. It’s the must-have product for all women who want to get a flawless complexion in seconds’…looks promising. Tried the Sephora X Factor nail polish which had lots and lots of  beautiful colors …do try it lasts for mmin5 days without chipping and the glitter range is so so gorgeous. If you love to do you nails every other day than the Sephora nails prep & prime collection that you must have protects and makes the color last long. Sephora has a good range of bronzers , highlighters, concealers & color correctors availalable in stick & retractable pencils too. …i personally love the primer. Swatched the powder highlighters you can see them below     Sephora eyeshadow palettes are a must have good quality , well payoff of color and gorgeous packagings.The sleek eyeshadow singles & quads are collectibles, a huge color range to choose from, all available in matte and shimmery shades …… so travel friendly.Check the swacthes from the Sephora IT Palette Neutrals❤ Below are the full swatches from the Sephora eyeliner range…these are also available in matte  and shimmery colors. Also swatched the eyebrow pencils which are available in 6 colors. Spotted a limited Sephora Value pack which has 8 products from the Sephora Makeup favorites , a well picked collection…was 35 Kd before now only for 26Kd. Hurry up if you want this in your collection only limited pieces left. Also a good range of Urban Decay, Too faced , Marc Jacobs, GlamGlow, Huda Beauty Lashes & nails, Dior , Givenchy Guerlain, Lancôme, Makeup forever and Bare minerals…but Chanel soon to come in store.                  So this is for now, hope you enjoyed the store review…let me know any of your favorites or you want to try from the Sephora collection.

Review: Mac Proenza Schouler Primrose Lipstick

Two weeks before Mac Proenza Schouler Collection was launched here, its available in all Mac stores in Kuwait. Was eyeing on the blushes but they were finished till I reached them ;( the whole collection is just gorgeous…the nude lipstick & nail polish are just perfect and not forgetting the pretty packaging.

From the collection recently got the  Mac Proenza Schouler Primrose lipstick , its a nice burgundy color with tiny specs of glitter….love the color looks so pretty… a must have….. the hint of glitter makes it more gorgeous & festive… its a keeper ❤

Went to check out the daily wear “Pink” collection at Victoria Secrets Outlet at Avenues mall Kuwait. The whole collection just screamed summer….totally chic & stylish ❤ comfort with style and perfect colors. They were also having 50% sale especially on the PINK collection including lingerie too plus sale on some perfumes, makeup, makeup bags, travel bags,totes, iphone covers, ipad covers & luminous body cream bronzers.
