Amanda Seyfried has been named the new face of Givenchy’s Very Irresistible fragrance. The beautiful Les Misérables actress follows the footsteps of Liv Tyler who has been with the renowned brand for ten years. “F**k yeah,” Seyfried told WWD. “It’s an honest collaboration. I’m proud to be a part of [the brands I’m involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy – they’re so artistic. And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.”
Nicholas Munafo, U.S. president for LVMH Fragrance Brands, said that the 27-year-old actress is perfect ambassador for the brand. Why? “Amanda is a chic, sexy woman who is a perfect fit for Givenchy,” Munafo explained.
Amanda’s first campaign for the fragrance has already been shot. The campaign, that will include both print and TV ads, was styled by Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci. The printed ad was shot by Gishot by Glen Luchford while the TV ad was filmed by Cédric Klapisch. However, we”ll have to wait until October when the campaign will be launched.
This is Amanda’s second beauty campaign. She also models for Clé de Peau Beauté, a Japanese luxury cosmetics brand. Seyfried admits that she won’t be launching her own celebrity fragrance anytime soon. “They’re hard work, and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor,” the beautiful actress confessed. “I’m doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved. They’re great things to be attached to.”
Besides the campaign for Givenchy’s Very Irresistible Fragrance, Seyfried has also been working shooting Seth MacFarlane’s ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West in Santa Fe’, which seems to be her first comedy since ‘Mean Girls’. “It’s funny how things just percolate and then either go away or are made,” the actress said. “With independent movies, it’s about 50-50 chance, and the independent films are the ones I find most interesting right now.”
